‘The text in this book, designed for the Douglas Hyde Gallery in Dublin, is a collection of memories and reflections on the gallery’s programme over a five-year period. As Peter Maybury explains, “To capture the feeling of memories and their uncertainty, I pasted together paragraphs of text with textures/images and fed them repeatedly through a thermal fax machine. By rewinding the roll, some 30 metres of unpredictable, multi-layered text/noise was produced.”’
